Religion

Tyler County has many churches ranging from Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, all varieties of Baptists, Methodists, Episcopalians, Lutherans and independents.

There are three organizations who work with multiple denominations for the advancement of the Gospel in Tyler County and for the betterment of life here: they are Tyler County Ministerial Alliance, Tyler County Ministers' Union and Tyler County United Christians Association.
 
Three annual events of interest to visitors and new residents are: Tyler County Interracial Revival, last week of June at the Eagle Summit, Annual Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service--rotates around different churches, and the Annual Christmas Pageant at the Eagle Summit.

Most of our churches work closely with social service agencies in the County to aid the aged and children.
